RONA

The Glassworks was founded over one hundred years ago by the Schreiber & Neffen Company of Vienna. The present day name of the plant, Rona, derives from the village where the Glassworks is situated.
Skilled craftsmen and their high quality products rapidly gained the Glassworks international recognition, as most products were intended for export.
Glassware for the catering industry has been a significant part of production right from the very beginning, and from 1897 the Glassworks has supplied important hotels, including the renowned Sacher Hotel in Vienna, with its products.
When the Glassworks was founded considerable emphasis was placed on the development of various decorative techniques, including the establishment of a pantographic decorating machine in 1897, the first of its kind in Europe.
The chateau, which was the original home of the founder of the Glassworks, now functions as a business centre and company showroom for business partners.
